The Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut is seeking a Senior Communications Officer to elevate our mission of creating a healthy, thriving, sustainable region. In this role, you’ll shape how we share stories of community impact, engage donors and partners, and highlight the voices of the people we serve.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and lead communications strategy
- Create compelling content across print, digital, and social platforms
- Manage the Annual Report, newsletters, press materials, and media outreach
- Oversee website content and email communications
- Collaborate with program and development staff to support events and initiatives
- Coordinate designers, photographers, and other vendors
We are looking for someone with:
- 5–8 years of communications/marketing experience
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Proficiency with digital tools, WordPress, and basic design software
- Strong project management and collaboration skills
- Passion for community impact and mission-driven work

Salary: $90,000
